We’ve updated the iExpression module to work with the new auth API used in ExpressionEngine 2.2. Backwards compatibility with older versions of ExpressionEngine has been kept (so 1.6, 1.7, 2.0, 2.1 will continue to work), but if you are on an older version there is no need to update.
To download it, just head over to the module download area.
Just a note for those that noticed we were down for a couple of minutes. We’ve just updated to EE 2, expect more changes to come including our web-design portfolio which we’ve been meaning to get around to adding in here for around a year now.
There is a small bug in the compatibility checker between the App and the module. We’ve addressed it with a workaround for now. Just go to http://www.rwe-uk.com/iexpression/module and download the latest version to get rid of the warning.
We are pleased to announce the immediate availability of iExpression 1.4.1 from the App Store. 1.4.1 is a defect fixing release resolving a number of minor issues and one major one. We should also note that all users should update to the latest version of the module as the two together should resolve all known issues with iExpression.
The iExpression Module for both ExpressionEngine 1.6.8+ and 2.1+ has been updated to version 1.4c. All users should update to this version as it addresses a number of issues where un-supported field data could be modified. No update to the iExpression App itself is required.
The module can be downloaded from the iExpression module page.
Update: This has already been resolved in ExpressionEngine 2.1.1. Only users using ExpressionEngine 2.1 who cannot yet update to 2.1.1 need to consider the fix below.
We have identified an issue in ExpressionEngine’s Channel Entry API that can stop users with at least one required field in ANY field group being able to post entries in any category. We have reported this to EllisLabs but have a fix available for any iExpression user that is affected. Please use the contact form on this site, or the Contact Support button within iExpression. It’s a very simple fix to apply. We’ve also supplied the fix to EllisLabs so we hope this will be addressed in the next build.
iExpression 1.4 is the first version of iExpression to allow advanced users to control the interface. To support sharing the creations of users we’ve launched a page where users can download the creations of others. To kick this off we’ve add the first toolbar. If you would like to submit your own entry please contact us via the contact for and we’ll get your toolbar up there. There will be an automated submission process in the future, but we just couldn’t wait to get the ball rolling.
So without further ado, for those of you who have asked for a line-break button in the advanced editing toolbar, head over and get one, no update required!
We are delighted to announce the availability of iExpression 1.4 (it is currently rolling out across the different App Stores, it may take 24 hours to reach yours).
We have focused on improving the entry editing and file management experience in version 1.4, as well as adding Dropbox integration. As an illustration of the extent of the enhancements we were able to deliver all of the changes to the web-site ready for the release (updating product pages, as well as user-guide and module files/pages) entirely with iExpression whilst in a fast-food restaurant on an iPhone! In summary the key features are

We’ve just been caught a little off guard by a very speedy Apple! iExpression 1.3.1 is a minor release which includes a fix to enable users who cannot use auto-detect as a result of their ExpressionEngine configuration. There is also a small revision of the module which simple displays the precise URL to enter if you wish to avoid using auto-detection. We will be releasing a larger revision to the module to address an issue found with relationship fields in EE 1.6 where the relationship is to a gallery module entry.
