Big easy to hit buttons, and auto capitalisation make this a handy way to send txts on the move. Touch sensitive screens? Superb, but maybe you miss the good old days where all you had were some big keys and a reason to snd msgs to m8s?
TxtM8 takes you back to send SMS text messages like it’s 1998 all over again. Yes, multiple taps on the big number buttons will cycle you through the characters, it may be slower but it’s still easier to do with one hand when you’re going from one nightlife hot-spot to another.
If you are an iPod Touch user, you can still send eMails using TxtM8.

We are delighted to announce the immediate availability of TxtM8 on the App Store. TxtM8 provides a somewhat retro interface for sending SMS text messages (or e-mails on the iPod Touch) from your iOS 4.0 device. Obviously it’s a slightly tongue in cheek app, but if you yearn for the old days it’s going to bring back a lot of memories and we think you’ll be surprised how often you graduate to sending messages the “old way”. You can find out a little more about the app at its home page or go and buy it now for $0.99USD on the App Store (local currencies will vary).

We couldn’t track down the crash in TxtM8 at all, so we’ve beefed up the code and made it ultra defensive so if it does happen again we will at least know exactly what failed where. |

We’ve uncovered a problem with TxTM8 running on an iPod Touch during the review process, we are currently unable to reproduce the issue so things will be held up until we can make it happen here. |
