Tuesday, March 15, 2011

The iExpression Module for both ExpressionEngine 1.6.8+ and 2.1+ has been updated to version 1.4c. All users should update to this version as it addresses a number of issues where un-supported field data could be modified. No update to the iExpression App itself is required.

The module can be downloaded from the iExpression module page.

Defect in ExpressionEngine 2.1 can impact iExpression users

Saturday, October 30, 2010

Update: This has already been resolved in ExpressionEngine 2.1.1. Only users using ExpressionEngine 2.1 who cannot yet update to 2.1.1 need to consider the fix below.

We have identified an issue in ExpressionEngine’s Channel Entry API that can stop users with at least one required field in ANY field group being able to post entries in any category. We have reported this to EllisLabs but have a fix available for any iExpression user that is affected. Please use the contact form on this site, or the Contact Support button within iExpression. It’s a very simple fix to apply. We’ve also supplied the fix to EllisLabs so we hope this will be addressed in the next build.

iExpression Extras

Saturday, October 30, 2010

iExpression 1.4 is the first version of iExpression to allow advanced users to control the interface. To support sharing the creations of users we’ve launched a page where users can download the creations of others. To kick this off we’ve add the first toolbar. If you would like to submit your own entry please contact us via the contact for and we’ll get your toolbar up there. There will be an automated submission process in the future, but we just couldn’t wait to get the ball rolling.

So without further ado, for those of you who have asked for a line-break button in the advanced editing toolbar, head over and get one, no update required!
